Planning a Mallorca cycling holiday should be fun, but the choice can be overwhelming (speaking from experience)! As part of the popular Balearic Islands, Mallorca draws cycling enthusiasts from across Europe for everything from a quick cycling break to longer adventures.
Over the years, I’ve been to Mallorca in every season, ticked off the classic cycling climbs, and learned which cycling routes deliver. The team at Epic Road Rides has also interviewed many Mallorca bike tour operators to learn what real on-the-road support looks like! So, if you’re weighing up a guided Mallorca cycling tour versus going solo or trying to decide which Mallorca operator will suit you best, think of this as a helpful starting point.
Be aware! Mallorca is bursting with excellent companies offering bike tours and this list isn’t an exhaustive directory of Mallorca cycling trips. Instead, it highlights tour operators we know well, have ridden with, or have spoken to in depth about their Mallorca cycling tours and support. There’s something for every kind of rider: mountainous climbs, flat plains or scenic café stops on quiet cycle paths.

We’ve worked with several of the bike tour operators featured in this article over the years (there are links to our interviews with them in the relevant section). We have chosen to include them in this article at our sole discretion because we love the Mallorca cycling experiences they offer.
1. Spring Mallorca Tour with SunVelo
The riding
This spring cycling tour in Spain with SunVelo runs with flexible arrivals and a four-night minimum stay. Your accommodation is on a half board basis in Playa de Muro and group rides are led by expert guides. Each day offers three pace band options, dependent on your fitness and goals:
- Team le Tour (60–85 kilometres at 20–23 km/h)
- Team Giro (75–120 kilometres at 23–26 km/h)
- Team Vuelta (75–145 kilometres at 26 km/h+).
Expect endurance miles on Mallorca’s classic climbs, including Coll de Sa Batalla. Cyclists looking for more challenge can add an optional Sa Calobra extension. Quieter recovery days might include coffee rides to Can Picafort, or a bayside spin to Port de Pollença. Many riders also add the lighthouse loop to Cap Formentor in the Tramuntana Mountains, part of a UNESCO-listed range. On easier days, you explore wine villages, coastal roads, and nearby salt lagoons.
What we like
SunVelo’s ride leaders are seasoned, carefully selected and keep routes fresh each spring. Whilst you tick off the must-do climbs, they also steer you into quieter areas so you can explore some of the lesser-known roads on the island.
Groups are paced sensibly and routes are adjusted to match the day’s legs, with planned coffee stops and a clear briefing. These trips are ideal for training camps and those looking to build their endurance in a supportive environment. SunVelo are also a member of ABTA so you can book with confidence.
What else they offer
Beyond the spring tour, SunVelo offers additional Mallorca road cycling tour dates in autumn, alongside gravel cycling tours. They also offer bike tours beyond the island, including in Girona and Switzerland.
If required, you also have the option to add on airport transfers and premium road bike hire. Travelling with friends or a club? SunVelo can shape a private week around your goals. That could be climbing volume, endurance kilometres, or skills and group-riding drills.
