Go cycling in Andorra and you’ll find sustained mountain climbs, smooth asphalt and jaw-dropping Pyrenean panoramas packed into a tiny principality. It’s a high-altitude haven with considerate drivers, rider-savvy cafés and quick access to iconic passes!

Why choose Andorra for a cycling holiday?

Andorra is increasingly popular with professional cyclists and riders seeking a high-altitude training playground, with many excellent climbs to try.  Regular appearances in the Tour de France and La Vuelta a España add extra allure!

Compact yet varied, Andorra has great roads and rider-friendly infrastructure. Bike hire and bike-friendly hotels keep logistics simple, while village fountains, cafés and traditional bordas (old stone buildings converted into restaurants) keep you well fuelled.

With road, gravel and bike-park options sitting side by side, you can mix cycling challenges across multiple valleys. After riding, unwind with Catalan-influenced culture and cuisine, and a relaxed, sport-loving atmosphere.

Where to ride?

Base yourself in La Massana or Ordino for quick access to Andora’s climbing classics: Coll d’Ordino, Ordino-Arcalís and the wilder Port de Cabús. From Encamp and Canillo, you can link the Collada de Beixalis and balcony roads with gorgeous lake vistas.

Further south, near Sant Julià de Lòria, you can border hop into Spain, or head off-road for a gravel adventure on historic smuggler tracks!
