Ollie Smith has been riding bikes his whole life. Aside from racing on the road, gravel, and cyclocross circuit across the UK and Europe, Ollie has tried his hand at ultra racing and plenty of long distance bikepacking trips.

Claude is an avid cross-country skier and cyclist who is passionate about inspiring others to embrace a healthier lifestyle through sports. As a world traveller, he has enriched his experiences by participating in international skiing and cycling races across diverse cultures. Notably, he completed the Canadian Ski Marathon and several Worldloppet events between 1990 and 2000.

John is a North East based cycle touring fanatic. He has cycled throughout Europe, with a main focus on Poland and Portugal.

Fran Wilson is a cyclist based in the North East of England and has a particular passion for cycle touring. Her love for cycling has seen her take on some of the UK and Europe's best-known multi-day cycle routes, including the Hebridean Way, Camino de Santiago, the Via Francigena and the Trans Dinarica.

Kate is a passionate cyclist who has explored the world by bike, including Europe, central America and South East Asia. Kate is a key member of the Epic Road Rides team; when she's not busy commissioning articles for Epic Road Rides, you'll find her busy writing and editing articles herself.

John Dewey, is an avid cyclist with a tendency to underestimate total riding time (or over-estimate his speed)! It's been a few years since he hung up the TT skinsuit, but his love of riding continues unabated.

John Maskell is a roving reporter whose mission in life is to find the best coffee stop on any given ride.

John Vicars divides his time between England and Spain and, together with his wife, clocks in around 10,000 miles each year searching out Europe's finest roads. John loves to share his experiences (good and bad) from the saddle and has a particular loathing for double digit gradients, sub-zero temperatures and red traffic lights!

Clare Dewey is a cyclist with a passion for travel. She set up epicroadrides.com in 2018 to help make it easy for cyclists to explore the world by bike. Today her mission is still inspiring cyclists to discover new places on two wheels - and doing what she can to make sure they have the best possible time while they're there. Clare has visited 50+ destinations around the world, many of them by bike.
