Stolen Goat caps

On our trip to Italy we agreed to try out a couple of Stolen Goat caps (we were given the caps but read on and you’ll see that this is an honest review; we say things as we see them).

Their caps are made from CoolMax fabric which is designed to wick sweat away to dry at the surface quickly and effectively, helping to keep your head cool.

I found the technology worked well including on long climbs (like the Passo Fedaia and Passo Giau) under the hot sun of the Dolomites in July. It soaks up the sweat and stopped it going in my eyes.

The large peak was effective at keeping the sun out of my eyes but I did find that on occasion it flipped down when worn under my Bontrager Ballista helmet, obscuring my vision. The solution I found was to wear it backwards.

The material is soft and stretchy which makes wearing it a good experience.

The cap matched our bib shortsjersey and socks – classic Stolen Goat style.

Pros

  • Nice stretchy material
  • CoolMax technology which helps keep you cool and keep the sweat out of your eyes.

Cons

  • Watch out for the peak flipping down when you wear the cap under your helmet.
